HASNAA
Crotchet is a prevalent knitting method in Kenya that has been passed down from generation to generation. The Hasnaa is indigenous to the Rift Valley, Eastern and Central Kenya inhabitants. This hand-woven statement piece serves as a shoulder bag and a backpack. Made from premium recycled plastic and Grade 1 brown Nubuck leather.
The Hasnaa bag has been elegantly designed to be a multi-purpose bag. We partnered with a craftswoman, Latifa, who crotchets the bag on her own, and our leather craftsmen/women hand stitch the leather to the bag.
This bag is 60% handmade, and we are here for it! The Hasnaa bag is sturdy, durable, light and comfortable to carry around, thanks to the level of craftsmanship. It's taken after its predecessor, the Sèkera tote bag. As part of our promise to push towards sustainability, the Hasnaa bag is eco-friendly, biodegradable, and 70% vegan.
