Our limited collection piece is part of our capsule collection highlighting Western African Art. The idea behind this duffel bag was to introduce a Western African touch. Mudcloth, also known as Bògòlanfini (Bogolan), is a traditional fabric from Mali dyed with fermented mud and plant dyes. This ornately patterned fabric can take four days to a week, depending on weather conditions.
Frequently the cotton used for Mudcloth is locally grown and of an un-dyed, beige colour. As these cloths are hand-woven, the thickness and weight are variable, but generally, they are similar to a light blanket.
Usually, each cloth is a unique creation: there is only one. So your duffel bag is unique to you. To wrap up the luxury feel of the Bogolan fabric, this duffel bag is made with premium Grade 1 oily pull-up leather and is only available in black.
Our favourite feature is the suitcase pass-through makes those airport/ train or bus station moments a breeze. This bag can also be your carry-on luggage throughout your trips, and we have tested it! Travelling should be convenient. So go ahead and travel beyond!
