Our creative director Claudia Kimani ventured into creating handbags through her own brand Claudia K.
Claudia brings extensive experience with her from establishing her first fashion brand, Claudia K and it is through her creative eye that we are now able to integrate Claudia K into Azana with the AMARA in our capsule collection. This is the first of many collaborations to come.
CLAUDIA K
In 2019, she launched her first handbag collection, Claudia K. Claudia's exquisite collection comprised totes, duffels, wash bags and laptop bags. She built her way to the top. She was hiring local artisans, investing in state-of-the-art machinery, expanding workshop space, and buying materials in bulk. Her brand Claudia K was a huge success. After starting Àzana, Claudia felt it was time to fuse the brands identities; Claudia K and Àzana to create a capsule collection that embodies Àzana's mordernism alongside Claudia K's artistic touch.
THE AMARA
Made with our premium grade 1 cow leather that has an elegant croc pattern patina and an alluring finishing touch of macrame detailing on the shoulder strap and gold bag fittings to add a subtle hint of elegance.
The bag comes with a shoulder strap that has an adjustment, allowing you to customise it to your preferences. The 4 in one AMARA can accommodate the essentials, like a phone, lip gloss, pocket wipes, tissues, and sanitiser. You have space for the necessities thanks to the interior zip pocket, open pockets, and card slots!
This stunning bag comes in two different shades; red and green. We are planning on releasing a pink version to raise awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness month as the bag was launched in October.
